Given that I am currently spending 3 days a week in lovely Paris, there is one thing I definitely miss more than anything else; a good cup of proper English tea. I normally nurse my way through about 4 or 5 big cuppas a day, and it feels like a shock to the system to be working in the office that isn’t equipped with a kettle and some PG Tips! So, I thought that in today’s blog post I would pay homage to the great British staple that is the teapot! Of course, just like every other practical household object, there are some great options ranging from the quirky to the avant-garde! Here are some of the favourites I found online:
First up, check out the jaunty thrust of this delicious ceramic teapot by California based duo Lilach Lotan. Clearly as much a work of art as a tea pot, we think the curvaceous shape of this teapot is terribly coquettish and we love it!!

Next up is the rather famous sorapot. You don’t often meet a teapot worthy of an entire website, but this one is an exception. When you combine its rather sexy minimalist curved lines, industrial grade materials and add the ace up its sleeve – you get to watch your tea brew – I totally get what all the fuss is about. Don’t think I will be splashing out $200 on one right now, but one day when I have bottomless pockets? Definitely!

I wanted to balance out all this coolness with something a bit more traditional, so my final product choice is every girly-girls favourite floral china….but, with a twist. No OTT pinks, yellows and greens, this one is calm and collected monochrome. Available at the very reasonable £40 pricepoint from Lisa Stickley, we are sure a cup of tea from this lovely pot would taste just perfect.

Right…time to put the kettle on!
